It’s possible to become number 1 for a variety of reasons, but three were enough for Alberto Cristina, chairman and managing director of this leading company which makes designer taps - profitability, employment and customer satisfaction. Result: the company, which was established in 1949 and has grown to become one of the largest players in the industry, reported a turnover of 46 million euro in its last financial statement, with an increase of 6% with respect to the previous year, which had already been excellent. «A result which is the fruit of innovative ability», states Cristina, «which is transformed into products that anticipate market trends, with eye-catching features that perform efficiently and are environmentally-friendly, not to mention business strategies characterised by significant focus on customer satisfaction».



Cristina products certainly sit permanently within the segment of market excellence, both in terms of technological content which ensures efficiency and reliability, and distribution, which focuses on prestigious showrooms and distinguished stores that can assist designers and end customers. The Cristina group keeps its roots firmly planted in Italy but also has its eye firmly fixed on foreign markets, and is currently present and distributing in 70 countries, most of which are European, but their industrial plan includes an expansion strategy to Mediterranean Africa, the Far East, Oceania and America. It’s significant that 50% of turnover is from foreign markets, with a positive forecast of reaching 70% in the next five years.

The Cristina family now has the third generation at its helm in the shape of Alberto, who has continued this purely Italian business success story and continues to believe in the value of innovation, by constantly investing as much in research and technological development as in the aesthetic development of the product. “Quality is the result of strict control during each production phase and trust in the raw materials used”, states Cristina.

Cristina Rubinetterie is also at the forefront of the most important international events, including Salone Internazionale del Mobile (furniture fair) in Milan, Architect@Work in Paris, Ish in Frankfurt and Médinit in Casablanca. The company is now exploring new markets by attending important events in Cambodia, Burma and Kazakhstan.
